We will inform you about situations where live streaming using the ScreenCast function in the PRISM app did not start normally.
The PRISM app provides the ScreenCast function so that you can use your smartphone’s screen or game for live streaming.
And the PRISM iOS app uses the screen recording function supported by the iOS platform to provide you with the ScreenCast function.
However, since screen recording on the iOS platform is a function that operates independently of the PRISM app, settings for live streaming in the PRISM app must be completed before starting screen recording.
In relation to this, the current error guidance dialog is shown in the following two situations.
- A case where the channel of the live streaming target platform is not integrated or set in the PRISM app.
- A case where the live streaming target platform requires a title, but the title is not set in the PRISM app.
We’ll walk you through for each situation
1. A case where the channel of the live streaming target platform is not integrated or set in the PRISM app.
In order to start live streaming with a live platform, you need to integrate the channel of the platform in the PRISM app through login and set the integrated channel as the streaming destination.
In live streaming using the CustomRTMP setting function, the process of channel integration through login is not required, but you must select the streaming item you have set as the streaming destination.
Click the Go Live button in the PRISM iOS app to start ScreenCast, which leads to the start screen of the screen recording function of the iOS platform. Before clicking the yellow Go Live button, make sure that the channel information is properly set in the app.
2. A case where the live streaming target platform requires a title, but the title is not set in the PRISM app.
Among the popular live platforms, Facebook doesn’t require a title for live streaming, but platforms like YouTube and Twitch do.
Therefore, if you want to start live streaming to a platform that requires a title for live streaming with the ScreenCast function of the PRISM app, please set the title within the PRISM app in advance.
Titles set in the PRISM app and used at least once for live streaming are automatically saved in the app and persisted even after relaunching the app. So your next live stream will use it automatically.
