[Mobile] Live streaming quality issue on Galaxy S10, S20, S21 product family
Hello, this is the PRISM Live Studio team.
We are sharing live streaming quality issues on Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra.
The Galaxy S21 product family is the latest smartphone from Samsung Electronics and has high device performance. However, there have been many reports of issues regarding the streaming quality of the PRISM Android app in that product line.
And as a result of checking the problem, it was confirmed that the framerate of streaming dropped to around 15 soom after starting live streaming.
(Most live streaming is done at around 30fps)
And as a result of inquiring about the issue to Samsung Electronics,
we received a reply that the S21 product family has a function that automatically adjusts the framerate of the camera when the device reaches a certain temperature in order to improve battery consumption and heat issues in smartphone use.
Accordingly, the PRISM Live Studio team will make efforts to reduce heat generation by optimizing our app’s functions,
while continuing attempts in various fields so that the issue can be quickly resolved.
We apologize for the inconvenience and we recommend using high-performance devices prior to the release of the S21 product family for live streaming where quality is important.
We will get back to this issue with news of improvement. Thank you.
