[PC Update] v2.2.0 Update Preview

Hey everyone! This is PRISM Live Studio team :)

Today, let’s take a quick peek at the PC v 2.2.0 update.

“PRISM PC v2.2.0 update

scheduled for September 11, 2020”

We have been preparing for the features of this update for a long time. Please note that the following features will be updated in v2.2.0.

• Added feature to link to Facebook account
• Added feature to link to AfreecaTV account
• Added feature to use GIPHY stickers
• Added feature for media playback control
• Improved usability for “My Channel”

★ Added feature to link to Facebook account & afreecaTV account

In the meantime, when streaming to Facebook/afreecaTV, we need add a Prism Custom RTMP channel with the streaming url/key provided by Facebook/afreecaTV. However, there were many users who felt uncomfortable with this method of adding channels.

In this version, Facebook/afreecaTV account linking function is supported, you can stream to multiple platforms by linking your Facebook/AfreecaTV account.

Here’s how to set up Facebook channels:

1. click [view more] button, select [Add channels]

2. click Facebook

3. input your facebook accout info to add a channel

4. channel added

After completing the channel addition, you can set where to live and write some descriptions on the live information window.

You can simply stream your broadcast on your timeline as well as Facebook groups and pages.

1. If you are linking with your Facebook account for the first time, you need to set the privacy scope for live through Prism Live Studio. For each live, the scope of disclosure can be specified each time, but the lower level cannot be higher than the higher level.
   (The value set once during the login process cannot be changed later. If you set it to public, you can set the scope of disclosure without restrictions in all subsequent live shows.)

2. When streaming to a group, you need to register the PRISM Live Studio app in [Group Settings].

Here’s how to set up afreecaTV channels:

1. click [view more] button, select [Add channels]

2. click afreecaTV

3. input your afreecaTV accout info to add a channel

4. channel added

You can set live title in app

(For afreecaTV, the only live information that can be set currently is the title, and it will be improved gradually in the future.)

★ Added feature to use GIPHY stickers

GIPHY sticker is a function that allows you to decorate the broadcast screen using various free stickers.

Select the sticker button in the Prism sidebar menu, select and use a sticker in the settings window.

Sticker search is also supported. If you type “smile” like the image below, the search results will appear.

Click the sticker you want with the mouse and it will be reflected on the LIVE screen immediately!

★ Added feature for media playback control

In the meantime, many users who have updated to the beta version gave their opinions that they would like to use the media playback control function in the beta version as well. This feature has been released in version 2.2.0.

★ Improved usability for “My Channel”

Set your favorite channels for convenient management via the My Channel Settings window.

You can select/cancel the channel to be exposed on the main screen by using the check box on the right side of the channel.

The Prism App is updating new and diverse features quickly and continuously, and since the release of the app, it always monitors users’ usage status, performance and stability, and reflects improvements related to the next update.
